Hey there, cognee community! 👋

What a month May has been! We're here to share our latest round of updates with you. We've been incredibly busy - so busy that we had 2 major releases this month and honestly, we've attended so many events we've lost count! 🎉

Our community has been using cognee more and more, and numbers of our pipeline runs are increasing!

As for Pinki, our office dog, he is in Poland now on a small retreat, while his owner has a presentation on AI Engineer summit in San Francisco.

What's New This Month?

🤖 Agentic Demo: AI Agents Meet Memory

One of our biggest launches this month is our brand new agentic demo! We've been working hard to showcase how AI agents can leverage cognee's memory capabilities to create truly intelligent, context-aware applications.

This isn't just another demo - it's a glimpse into the future of AI applications where agents can remember, learn, and build upon previous interactions. The demo shows how agents can:

• Maintain persistent memory across sessions
• Build contextual understanding from new data sources
• Make more informed decisions based on historical data

🛠️ Stability Improvements: Rock-Solid Foundation

We've been obsessed with making cognee more stable and reliable. This month, we've implemented numerous under-the-hood improvements that make the entire system more robust:

• Enhanced error handling and recovery mechanisms
• Improved memory management and performance optimizations
• Better handling of edge cases and unexpected scenarios
• More reliable data processing pipelines

These improvements are important as more and more people use cognee in production!

🏗️ Community vs Core Split: Clear Separation

We've made an important architectural decision this month: splitting cognee into Community and Core versions. This separation allows us to:

• Keep the open-source community version feature-rich and accessible
• Offer enterprise-grade features in the core version for businesses
• Maintain clear development paths for both versions
• Better serve different user needs and use cases

This split ensures that our open-source community continues to thrive while we can also provide the advanced features that enterprise customers need.

🔍 New Retrievers: Smarter Information Access

We've introduced several new retriever implementations that make finding and accessing information from your knowledge graphs even more powerful:

• Enhanced semantic search capabilities
• Improved context-aware retrieval
• Better handling of complex queries
• More efficient graph traversal algorithms

These new retrievers are already showing impressive improvements in both speed and accuracy.

Dreamify: Learn about our research paper

We've wrote our own paper explaining how we can manage the interface between Knowledge Graphs and LLMs

• We introduced Dreamify, our hyperparameter optimization framework
• Our team got some interesting results, showing the promise in our approach

📱 Brand New TikTok Channel: It's awkward, but worth it

Surprise! We've launched our official TikTok channel! 🎬

We're bringing AI memory concepts, quick tutorials, and behind-the-scenes content to a whole new audience.

It's been amazing to see how receptive the TikTok community has been to AI content!

We're ramping up our r/AIMemory channel for broader discussions on AI Memory and to share in the conversation outside of cognee. We'd love to see you share what you're working on, your thoughts and questions on AI memory, and any resources that would benefit the broader community.

📚 Revamped Documentation

Our documentation has received a major overhaul! We've completely restructured and rewritten large sections to make them:

• More beginner-friendly with step-by-step guides
• Better organized with improved navigation
• Packed with real-world examples and use cases
• Updated with all the latest features and APIs

The feedback from the community has been overwhelmingly positive - finally, docs that actually help you get things done!

🎨 New cognee UI: Simple and Functional

We're incredibly excited about our brand new user interface! The new UI has much better ways to visualize graphs and showcase how to load and search the data.

The new interface makes working with knowledge graphs more visual and interactive than ever before.
