you pick which fact wins

you pick which fact wins

In the last issue cognee started showing you when two of your sources disagree. The obvious next question was who gets to decide. With cognee 1.6.6, you do: conflict review now runs by default, and when you choose which fact is right, cognee keeps that choice and answers from it from then on.

In London we were one of the technology partners at the Grok Bot Community Engineering Hackathon. 130 people built 49 projects in a single evening, and the teams in second and third place both built on cognee. We also shipped memory plugins for Hermes Agent and Grok Bot, and three new sources: Obsidian, Asana and OneNote.

On 4 November I will show you how cognee handles permissions once several agents and teams share one memory. Three days later we co-host LOCALHOST, a sovereign AI hackathon in Brooklyn.

When two documents name a different CEO for the same company, an agent that keeps both will quote whichever it finds first. In cognee 1.6.6 conflict review is on by default, and a new API lets you choose which fact is right, so every later answer uses your choice, across sessions. Edit, delete or rebuild the data, and choices that no longer apply are retired with it.

cognee for Hermes Agent. A drop-in memory provider for Hermes Agent stores each turn as you go and moves the session into your graph when it ends. Six memory tools, no code to write.

cognee for Grok Bot. The Grok Bot plugin connects the bot to the hosted cognee MCP server, so it recalls before it answers and remembers what is worth keeping. No API key to paste.

Three new sources. Obsidian vaults, Asana tasks and OneNote now sync into memory. Re-sync an Obsidian vault and edited notes replace their old versions, deleted notes are forgotten.

Forget your search history. forget(clean_history=True) clears stored search history, users can delete their own history over the API, and deleting a dataset now clears its history as well.

Move vectors without re-embedding. Stored embeddings can be copied from one vector store to another without calling the embedding model again. The release also brings faster, safer cache and deletion paths.

cognee was one of the technology partners at the Grok Bot Community Engineering Hackathon at Expedite’s London HQ. 130 people built tools for real community problems, and the teams in second and third place both used cognee. Congratulations to Offpeak, After Glow and Lumap.
